Chaos.
We just wrapped Day 2 of shooting--we are all incredibly exhausted but keeping on schedule and are so far thrilled with our progress. Before I regress into a catatonic state, I thought I would update you with some pictures taken in the last 48 hours...

Production Week is Upon Us.
The fundraising period is over (thank you again a million times for your donations and support--you've made a couple of starving filmmakers very, very happy), and now we are heading full force into production week! We are getting everything in order so that we are ready to start shooting on Thursday: finalizing the script, finding locations, rehearsing actors, renting equipment, finding props, picking costumes, configuring our budget, drawing storyboards, making shooting schedules, planning lighting setups, recruiting crew members, and running around Prague doing 8 millions different odd jobs.
On top of all of the stuff we have to do for our own movie, Alex, Wes, and I are all helping out on the sets of different projects, which are also shooting this week. Yesterday I helped our on a set that was about a dead cat that miraculously came back to life. We had to put fake blood all over this poor kitty...

He was unhappy but he got lots of turkey and treats as payment

Ústí nad Labem
Recently I ventured outside of Prague once again, this time staying in the Czech Republic to visit the industrial northern city ofÚstí nad Labem.
The quick, less-than-24 hour trip started with dinner at a bar/tavern type place that featured mysterious green beer...it was commemorating either Easter or the fact that it was Thursday, I can't remember which. From there, I went to a University 80's-themed party (see photo) that played a nice blend of American 80's punk and metal (including 99 Luftballons in English, which was really bizarre) and some Czech 80's songs which I didn't know, but everyone else there seemed to love.
When that party got a little too crazy for comfort, I went home and went to bed so that I was able to wake up bright and early to see the Střekov Castle, which is an amazing, authentic straight-out-of Game of Thrones fortress that's perched high up on this rocky hill.
The view from up there was amazing...Here you can see my huge head blocking it:
Another interesting feature about the castle was that it was haunted and creepy as shit. Some rooms had freaky lifelike statues reenacting Snow White (dwarves and all), and there was this other statue that I swear had human eyes that followed you around. Oh yeah, and there was this ghost chilling out there:
All in all, a perfect castle-going experience.
Later that day, I took an aerial tram up to this restaurant on top of this mountain, which also offered great views of the city. BUT this post is getting cut short since I have to go location scouting now, bye everyone!
EDIT: Alright fine, more pictures. Jeez, you guys are so needy:

The Lesser One Turns 19!

Hooray! Today my favorite little Trojan sis is the big 1-9! I'm so proud of you Little Lu, even though 19 is a pretty insignificant age to turn and even though you will never be in line for the throne since you're the youngest haha suck it! Nevertheless, have a wonderful birthday. I know I don't need to tell you to do it big since you're going to anyways you cray. And I can't WAIT till you get your little butt over here to Prague.

P.S. I think this belongs here...

Last Night at the Meet Factory...
This, but about 120 decibels louder, nonstop, all night. I'll let you be the judge as to whether or not that sounds like a fun time.

Feelin' So Fly.

So, as you know from religiously reading my blog (seriously guys, it's actually kinda getting out of hand. I know that my life is far sexier and more interesting than yours, but come on...get a hobby), I have been making a point of trying to find all of the David Černý sculptures that are all over Prague.
Well, this week I made a new addition to my David Černý repertoire...with David Černý himself! We spotted him at the bar that he frequents (according to him, it's his 'living room') and helped design (he made the bar countertops which were filled with weird creepy toys and other found objects, including his own 'DNA', apparently). My friends who talked to him for upwards of two hours insist that he is just as weird as his crazy artwork. Anyway, there's a music festival called Lunchmeat going on at David Černý's club Meet Factory (pictured) tonight, so I think I'm gonna go check it out later!
In other super-cool VIP news, I got to get super fancy this week and go to the amazing Prague Municipal House to see the Prague Symphony play some bomb-ass music. It was absolutely gorgeous and I felt so fancy drinking champagne in the amazing Art Nouveau lobby. It was, ironically, American night featuring composers like George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein, and also this composer I had never heard of, but was amazing, Ferde Grofé:
Now, picture how classy I'd look listening to this live...
EDIT:
Here's a picture I took inside the Municipal House. Looks like we're in the Titanic post-iceberg!
